Le chocolat des Français started with a simple idea: break with the traditional codes of handcrafted chocolate by bringing creativity and humour !
3 boys, 2 passions, 1 project
Matthieu and Paul have met at an Art Parisian School in September 2004. Love at first sight for these two illustration passionates who will, few years later, meet Vincent. The three of them have a common passion that will unite them : chocolate !
After their studies, they all have entered the active life, where their future seemed to be already planned. And yet ! Their passion for chocolate and design takes over very quickly. They quit their job and reunit themselves around a beautiful project that was pending in their mind since forever : enhance the French chocolate know-how by bringing many colors !
Tradition & creation
Determined to reveal the French chocolate know-how to the world, they go look for the best ingredients and artisans of France.
At the same time, in order to bring a humorous touch and a quirky style to these incredible chocolates, they call many talented artists. All seduced by the original idea, their lend their talent to illustrate the first packaging for Le chocolat des Français, guided by a unique brief : “your best representation of the French culture”.
The launch
In november 2014, Le chocolat des Français is invited for its launching at the 20th “Salon du chocolat” at Paris. The perfect occasion for our passionates to promote their first chocolate bars to the public and experts of the sector. They decided to transform their stand as an art exhibition with their first 300 chocolate bars all illustrated, 100% cocoa butter, natural and made in France. It was a good way to highlight the brand. These little art works have catched the attention of concept stores, grands magasins and fancy delicatessen shops. That was it, Le chocolat des Français was in the game !
An adventure driven by its success
During the following years, the product line is growing with the launch of filled bars, covered almonds, and also huge Advent calendars ! As for the chocolate bars, these new produts are the result of a collaboration with the best of French artisans, who share the same imperative for the quality and selection of raw ingredients.
Besides the prize of the “best hope” won at the 21st “Salon du chocolat”, they have get the trust of Thierry Marx**, the Chef Pierre Augé, but also other great Chefs from palaces and hotels.
Extended line means a growing family of artists ! They are now more than 400 to have joined the adventure, among them there is André Saraiva, Charlotte Le Bon and Jean Jullien. This creativity and ambition without limit will reach famous brands like Longchamp, Air France or even the “Assemblée Nationale” who became our partner.
But Le chocolat des Français won’t stop here ! Always looking for innovative ideas, they have made a huge 6 meters sculpture made in chocolate with the artist Richard Orlinski, before wining the WORLD largest wall composed with chocolate bars !
Many realisations which give the ambition to go further… And you know what’s the most exciting ? All the surprises that are coming !
